Privacy Policy

Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how the individual developer of Binary Display: Clock Widget (the “App”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) handles information when you use the App. The App is designed to work primarily on your device. We do not operate an account system, sell personal information, run advertising, or use third-party analytics or crash-reporting SDKs in the current version of the App.

For the processing described in this Policy, the developer of the App is the controller to the extent that the developer determines the purpose and means of that processing. If you have a privacy question or request, email hello@onethreesix.studio.

Information stored on your device

The App stores your preferences and app settings locally, including display and theme choices, widget and screensaver configuration, onboarding and review-prompt state, and information needed to remember whether Pro features are available.

If you create custom themes, the App may store theme names, colors, configuration, and opaque references to images you choose. This information is used only to provide and preserve the features you select.

Photos and custom theme images

If you choose to add an image to a custom theme, the App accesses only the photo or file you select through the platform picker. The selected image is processed for the theme feature and stored in the App’s or its shared app-group storage. We do not receive or host your selected images on developer-controlled servers.

You can remove a custom theme or image using the App’s controls. Removing the App or its local data may also remove local copies, subject to device backups and iCloud synchronization described below.

iCloud, widgets, and Apple Watch

On supported Apple devices, the App can use your iCloud account to synchronize custom-theme information and theme images between your devices. Theme images are stored in your private iCloud container; theme metadata, limited weather information, and Pro-status information may also be synchronized through Apple services.

The App can share the information needed to render your selected theme, along with limited weather values and Pro-status information, with its widgets, screensaver, and Apple Watch components through Apple app-group and WatchConnectivity mechanisms. This information remains within the relevant Apple platform services and devices associated with your use of the App.

Apple independently processes information when you use iCloud, widgets, watch connectivity, backups, or the App Store. That processing is governed by Apple’s terms, settings, and privacy policy.

Optional weather and location

The weather feature is optional. If you enable it, the App asks for location permission and uses your current location to request local weather. The App sends latitude and longitude to Open-Meteo to obtain current temperature, apparent temperature, and weather condition information. The App does not store raw coordinates; it stores the returned weather values and the time they were fetched for a limited local cache.

Location permission can be changed at any time in your device settings. Weather information is provided for convenience only and may be unavailable, delayed, or inaccurate.

Purchases and subscriptions

If you purchase Pro features, Apple processes payment through the App Store. The App uses RevenueCat to help determine purchase entitlement, restore purchases, and provide subscription-management features. We do not receive or store your payment-card details.

Apple and RevenueCat may process purchase, entitlement, account, device, and technical information under their own terms and privacy policies. Your purchase and subscription settings are managed through the platform where you made the purchase.

How information is used and shared

We use the information described above solely to operate the App’s clock, theme, widget, screensaver, weather, sync, and purchase features; to respond to support requests you send; and to meet legal obligations where applicable.

We do not sell personal information or use your information for interest-based advertising. We share information only with service providers necessary for features you choose—Apple, Open-Meteo, and RevenueCat—or where disclosure is required to comply with law or protect rights, safety, and security.

Retention, choices, and your rights

Information stored locally remains on your device until you change it, remove it, clear the App’s data, or uninstall the App. iCloud-synchronized information may remain in your iCloud account until you delete it there or through the App, subject to Apple’s backup and retention practices.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, restriction of, or objection to the processing of personal information that we control. Because most App information is stored locally or in your private iCloud account, we may be unable to access or delete it for you. Email hello@onethreesix.studio to make a request about information we actually hold.

Children and changes to this Policy

The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children through developer-controlled systems. If you believe a child has provided us information directly, contact us so we can address the request.

We may update this Policy when the App or applicable requirements change. We will post the updated version here and revise the effective date.
